Position: Service Engineer (Biomedical) (On Third-party payroll position)

Location: Pune

Education : Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.( Except Mechanical & Civil engineer).

Experience:

  •  Proven experience (typically 2-3years) in a field service role, preferably in the biomedical or medical device industry.
  •  Knowledge of medical equipment such as Immunology analyzers, Biomechistry analyzers, Hematology,

Skills & Knowledge:

  •  Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and work independently.
  •  Familiarity with medical device safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  •  Good knowledge of electronics, mechanical systems, and software integration.
  •  Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical staff.

Job Description:

· Installation & Setup:

  •  Install, configure, and commission biomedical equipment at hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.
  •  Perform initial system tests and ensure proper functionality of devices.

· Preventative Maintenance & Calibration:

  •  Conduct routine preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration of equipment per manufacturer specifications.
  •  Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and device performance.

· Repairs & Troubleshooting:

  •  Diagnose and resolve technical issues with biomedical equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.
  •  Perform repairs on-site or at the workshop, depending on the nature of the issue.

· Technical Support & Consultation:

  •  Provide on-site technical support and training for healthcare staff on the use of medical equipment.
  •  Offer consultation on equipment upgrades and provide feedback on potential improvements.

· Documentation & Reporting:

  •  Maintain detailed service logs and reports for each job, including service activities, parts replaced, and system tests.
  •  Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO).

· Customer Interaction:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and customers.
  •  Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

· Inventory Management:

  •  Manage the inventory of spare parts and tools to ensure the timely availability of necessary components.
  •  Order parts and supplies when required for repairs and maintenance activities.

· Compliance & Safety:

  •  Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for both patients and staff.
  •  Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Work Environment:
