It was previously a government- owned-telecommunications service provider and under the ownership of Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, and the Government of India. It is the exchange of information over significant distances by electronic means and refers to all types of voice, data and video transmission.

Job Role:

•  Operation and Maintenance of Satellite Earth Station.
•  Ensure smooth operation of Earth Station Antenna and RF subsystem.
•  Taking routine readings and logging in the logbook.
•  Attending system alarms, troubleshooting and taking corrective actions to clear alarms.
•  Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of ES equipment’s to maintain equipments in healthy state.
•  Monitoring various satellite signals to ensure optimum signal levels to avoid any service outage.
•  Pointing of satellite antennas to desired satellites as required.
•  Preparation of various Daily / Weekly / Monthly reports.
•  Attending customer calls and providing necessary solutions to their complaints / queries.
•  Finding satellite RFPs of interest to create new business opportunities.
•  Coordinating and supporting vendors working on various troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
•  Monitoring of TV downlink service and attend feasibility requests / complaints / queries from internal customer.

Requirement:

•  Graduate Engineer- Preferably Telecommunications.
•  Basic knowledge of RF, Satellite Communications and associated equipments.
•  Knowledge of Test and Measurement instruments like Multimeter, Power meter, Spectrum Analyzer etc.
•  Computer skills with MS OFFICE.
•  Good communications Skills.
•  Willing to work in rotational 24 x 7 shift duties.

Salary Budget: 2.64 LPA
