· Job Description-

  • Windows Server L2 Support Engineer to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
  • The role involves handling escalated incidents, performing root cause analysis, supporting day-to-day operations, and ensuring high availability and performance of server infrastructure.
  •  Provide Level 2 support for Windows Server OS (2012/2016/2019/2022).
  •  Handle escalations from L1 support and resolve complex OS-level issues.
  •  Install, configure, patch, and maintain Windows servers (physical & virtual).
  •  Monitor server health, performance, and availability using monitoring tools.
  •  Perform incident management, problem management, and change management as per ITIL processes.Troubleshoot issues related to:Active Directory, DNS, DHCPGroup Policies (GPO)File & Print servicesWindows services and scheduled tasks
  •  Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies
  •  Perform regular OS patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation.Support server backup and restore operations.
  •  Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.Coordinate with L3 teams, vendors, and other infrastructure teams when required.
  •  Participate in on-call support and planned maintenance activities
  •  Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server OS administration.
  •  Good understanding of Active Directory architecture and troubleshooting.
  •  Experience with VMware/Hyper-V environments.
  •  Knowledge of PowerShell for basic scripting and automation
  •  Familiarity with monitoring tools (SCOM, Nagios, or similar).
  •  Understanding of security best practices and hardening guidelines.
  •  Exposure to ITIL framework and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).
  •  Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  •  Microsoft certifications (MCSA / MCSE or equivalent).
  •  Experience in cloud environments (Azure – Windows VM support).
  •  Knowledge of patch management tools (WSUS, SCCM).Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, ports, firewalls).
  •  24x7 support environment / rotational shifts (if applicable).
  •  On-call support during critical incidents.
