 Job Description:

• Hands-on experience in GIS/drafting tools like AutoCAD, MapInfo, SpatialNet, QGIS.
•  Knowledge of Fiber Network Architecture and specifications.Sound understanding of OSP/ISP construction standards and field practices, planning, and design expertise in FTTX technologies.
•  Good understanding of Method of Measurements for Design and construction of FTTx Network and ability to prepare BOQ and BOM.
•  Experience in obtaining Municipal Council (MC) approvals, including ROW, excavation, and utility clearance for network designs and construction activities.
•  Planning and Design of FTTx Network using GIS tools.
•  Quality Control on design delivery.
•  Training and efficiency improvement with team members.
•  Work on different GIS datasets and create new information or investigate patterns using AutoCAD, QGIS, MapInfo, SpatialNet.
•  End-to-end delivery of design services including Detail Design, Survey Packs, validating survey reports and site designs, creating Construction Plans in AutoCAD, BOM/BOQ.
•  Communicate with stakeholders on rejections and corrective actions.
•  Coordinate with Field Teams for required information.
•  Prepare and interpret specifications, drawings, and regulations for telecommunications equipment.
•  Create designs considering available utilities, locates, and conflict checks.
•  Ensure compliance with Municipal Council regulations and secure necessary approvals.Technical Competencies
•  Strong understanding of telecommunications transmission networks, Outside Plant deployment, and multiple FTTx Technologies.
•  Experience in Copper/Fiber Access Network, field practices, quality and testing standards, and Fibre network architecture.
•  Knowledge of cable/joint/equipment installation techniques, aerial and underground cabling methodology.
•  Advanced CAD skills (AutoCAD) for creating detailed construction and design drawings.
•  Good analytical/problem-solving skills.
•  Strong GIS skills with two or more GIS packages
•  Excellent verbal/written communication skills and documentation ability.
•  Good understanding of OSP/ISP construction activities and compliance requirements.
•  Good knowledge of BOQ and BOM for FTTx Designs.
•  Technical expertise in Municipal Council (MC) approval processes, including ROW permitting, excavation approvals, traffic management requirements, and adherence to municipal engineering standards.
• Ability to interpret utility, identify conflicts, and integrate utility information into network design
