Position: As-Built Submittal Engineer - BMS (Junior) (On Third-party payroll position)

Location: Chennai

Department: Design Automation Reports To: Engineering Team Lead

Experience: 2+ years of experience in BMS or MEP documentation roles.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.

Job Summary:

• The As-Built Submittal Engineer – BMS is responsible for preparing and managing accurate as-built documentation for Building Management Systems projects.
• This includes integrating field changes, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with client and regulatory standards.

Job Description:

•  Review BMS design drawings, control schematics, and installation layouts.
•  Review redlines markups and field modifications from site engineers and technicians.
•  Update and prepare as-built drawings using AutoCAD or BMS-specific tools.
•  Coordinate with BMS design engineering teams to reflect actual installed conditions.
•  Ensure all device locations, wiring, and control logic are accurately documented.
•  Prepare and submit final as-built packages including drawings, datasheets, and O&M manuals.
•  Collaborate with QA/QC teams to ensure documentation quality and completeness.
•  Maintain version control and documentation logs for all revisions.
•  Support project handover and close-out documentation processes.
•  Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

Preferred Skills:

•  Proficiency in AutoCAD, or BMS software platforms
•  Familiarity with HVAC systems, control panels, field devices, and network architecture.
•  Know-how of BMS control logic, point schedules, and I/O summaries.
•  Experience with document control systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore) is a plus.
•  Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
•  Strong communication and coordination abilities.
